company literally rejected me based on MBTI personality test results

applied for an office admin role and they made me jump through hoops with three different tests. crushed the typing assessment and grammar portion but then they hit me with myers briggs testing too got classified as enfj and apparently thats not what they wanted for their precious admin position. rejection email straight up said they were seeking different personality types than mine im fuming right now. my coworkers keep telling me i avoided working for crazy people but this whole situation has me heated. what kind of backwards screening process is this. feels completely dehumanizing to get turned down because some test decided my personality doesnt fit their mold anyone else deal with this garbage before submitted by /u/Over_Charge_2924 [link] [comments]

I’m honestly tired of these fake job postings.

I applied for a job on indeed to then recieve an automated message for me to apply again on their website. But the link took me to their site with a 404 error. I then did a search in the exact location and there was no job listed in that area…. I’m not going to use indeed anymore. I haven’t had any luck with it in years. All the jobs that I recieved offers from post covid were through recruitment. Indeed is a graveyard. submitted by /u/Optimal_House_2897 [link] [comments]

What job boards do you use?

I’ve heard that the most popular are full of fake jobs. Are there any alternatives? submitted by /u/Suspicious_Major9549 [link] [comments]

Is it better to schedule an interview for before or after a holiday break?

I was offered two dates for an interview. One is a week before Thanksgiving, and the other is right after everyone comes back from Thanksgiving break. Is it better to do an interview before, when everyone is probably stressed out but I get to interview sooner in the process, or after when everyone has the major post-holiday Monday blues and I’m later in their interview process? submitted by /u/shannon-8 [link] [comments]

Candidate: What’s a good website to do a background check on yourself?

I’m not sure if this is the right sub, but I went to a job agency and they did a background check on me. They told me I had an address in another State which is wrong because I’ve never lived anywhere else. Now I wanna do the check myself.. could someone have cloned my identity? submitted by /u/Addicted_2_tacos [link] [comments]

Job Seeker asks for recommendations for executive search firm

I’m exploring options for a senior-level communications and brand leadership role at our company and would love some insight from people who’ve worked with reputable executive search firms. This is my first time leading an external hire for such a high-impact position, and I want to make sure we partner with a firm that truly understands the marketing, PR, and brand strategy landscape. I’ve heard about Christian & Timbers, which focuses on high-level executive placements, but I’d love to hear about other firms you’ve had good experiences with, especially those that specialize in creative or communications industries. Any recommendations for US-based executive search partners that are particularly strong in marketing or corporate communications would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/Front-Ad4011 [link] [comments]

Mc Donalds Worker Job hunting

Hey Everyone I’m looking for new job opportunities since I moved back to my home country. I currently work at McDonald’s, which is fine, but I’m 20 and need something where I can grow. I spent a year in Canada, where I started as a lot attendant. After some hard work, I was promoted to Merchandise Manager. Unfortunately, I had to return home due to immigration reasons and went back to my old job at McDonald’s—where I’d worked for five years before moving to Canada. I think it’s time for me to find a regular 9-5 job where I can grow and don’t need to worry about having 3-6 days off before my next shift. Do you have any recommendations? submitted by /u/Zegderen [link] [comments]

Seeker w/ no degree asks: What are some decent jobs in 2025?

I understand the job market is bad this year even if you have a degree or not. But for me I can’t work in person especially full time mainly because both of my parents work full time and I have to care for my little relative. Which is hard. Trying to find a night job at least, I also feel like my resume isn’t as good since I had one real job and the other was babysitting but didn’t feel like a job since I wasn’t paid. By the way I hate caring for kids mind you. Any advice? Just depressed having no money in my pockets. Going to college isn’t an option since school isn’t my best bet to be honest. I procrastinate a lot, fall behind a lot, also having adhd, and money issues. I also don’t have a drivers licenses so yeah sadly. submitted by /u/darkhexpetite [link] [comments]

Candidate concerned with little follow up after being verbally offered a job

Not sure if this is the right flair, but it’s a temporary position and I knew that going in. I asked about it and was told all their positions start out temporary (up to a certain time frame) and the majority are eventually hired full time. This is a new position dealing with a new product. The hiring manager stated they had started out with the company the same way and has now been with the company for several years. There was nothing in the job description that said the position would be employed by a 3rd party. I have applied and also passed over other positions that have stated this. The entire process from job application to interview to job offer happened with people from the company, if that makes any difference. The other day I received a verbal offer from the company. I am excited about it as it is an ideal position and something I really want to do. During the conversation the HR person reminded me it was a temporary position. I said that was fine as it had already been discussed, but then they said “You will be hired by a staffing agency and employed through them.” That was the first time this was mentioned. I asked if health insurance was provided or if I would need to purchase it on my own as the position’s start date is soon and open enrollment (US) will also start soon. HR was unable to answer the question, but said they would get their rep from the staffing agency to contact me. I expressed my excitement about the position and as I have seen posted many times on here, I asked for the details of the position to be sent over so I could review them before formally accepting. (I was only told the starting pay and start date) HR mentioned they would send over an NDA the same day, which they did not. I did hear from the staffing agency, but the only info I received was outdated health insurance info. No one gave a time frame for accepting the position either. I plan on contacting the staffing agency, but where do I go from here? Shouldn’t I have also received a contract too stating things about possible PTO, working hours, who I report to, etc? submitted by /u/sandycheeks10 [link] [comments]
